How to Register
Welcome to Brownhill Surgery
We are pleased to accept registration requests from patients who are living within the area indicated on the map below.

New Patient Registration
The easiest way to register with Brownhill Surgery is online: Register Online.
If you prefer, you can print and complete the Register with a GP Surgery Paper Form and bring it to the surgery. Paper copies of the registration forms are also available from reception.
Please note that the practice operates within a postcode boundary. If you are unsure whether your address falls within our catchment area, please contact the reception team for further information.
Once your forms have been received, they will be reviewed by the nursing team, who will determine whether a New Patient Medical appointment is required. If an appointment is necessary, a member of the team will contact you.
We are also able to see family members of registered patients as temporary residents while they are visiting the local area.
Change of Personal Details
If you change your name, address or contact details please let us know as soon as possible so that we can update our records. Alternatively, you can update your own details by clicking 'Change your Contact Details' which can be found on the homepage. If you are receiving treatment at a hospital it may also be a good idea to inform them of any changes so that both our records are consistent when we communicate with them.

Temporary Registration
If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice for 14 days. After 14 days you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient.
You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on the local practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with that practice.
To register as a temporary patient simply contact the local practice you wish to use. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or area where you are already registered.
